Product Description

The harm of foam in paint
1. Hazards during production: Paint often foams violently during the mixing process. Foaming causes volume expansion and reduces the utilization of blending equipment. Moreover, foaming limits the stirring speed, prolongs the blending time, and prevents the pigments and fillers from being fully moistened.
2. Hazards in packaging: After blending, it can be injected into the packaging barrel. The continuous injection production line injects by volume rather than by weight. The foaming will prevent the barrel from being full, and because the bubble is gradually bursting, the amount of liquid injected into the barrel will be uneven, interfering with continuous packaging.
3. Hazards during construction: During the coating process, foam will cause surface defects, such as pits on the coating film. That is, the bubbles will not burst until the paint dries and forms a film, causing small holes in the coating film, called fish eye.

RK-1107 is a 100% active-content mineral oil defoamer that is specially designed for emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization, emulsion adhesives, etc. It's very efficient, has great persistence, and is compatible. It's also confirmed that it is effective for curtain coating.

Application Process:
RK-1107 consists of hydrophobic liquid and hydrophobic particles. It is recommended that the user fully stir before using, even if the surface is not stratified; long-term storage may be slightly stratified, evenly mixed, and used without affecting the effect. The additive amount is 0.2-0.6% of the coating weight, added 1.0-1.5% at the pulping process, and added 1.0-1.5% again at paint correction. The optimum addition should depend on a specific situation. Do not dilute.
