Foam develops during the manufacture and application of many types of water-based coatings and inks. Lots of foam, which are caused by mixing and grinding, or that develops during automated filling operations, increases production time and lowers the output of the manufacturing process. During application, entrained air and foam are also the causes of undesirable surface defects such as craters, fisheyes, and pinholes.
For these reasons, the incorporation of a defoamer is important in many water-based products. It has the advantages of safety and harmless, strong defoaming ability, good applicability and compatibility, and will not affect the basic nature of the solutions.


 

Product Description

Rickman RK-857 is a polysiloxane and polyether copolymerization defoamer with a special structure of the active synergist. The special structure ensures that the compatibility of the system is unchanged and the performance is greatly improved.  It has strong antifoaming performance in water-based flexo ink, water acrylic overprinting, pure acrylic emulsion, PVA, and polyurethane emulsion, especially during grinding and paint mixing.
